I Will Say Thanks

Preparation:
1. Copy "Thank Ewe" notes, one for each family member.

Opening Song:
My Heavenly father Loves Me

Scripture:
D&C 78:19
"And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more."

Lesson:
Share the story of the 10 Lepers in Luke 17:11-19. Ask these questions when finished:

* Why did this man come back to Jesus?
* What did the other men do?
* What should we thank Heavenly Father and Jesus for?
* Whom else should we thank?
* How do you feel when you say "thank you" to someone?
* How do you feel when someone says "thank you" to you?

Just before ending the lesson thank each child for something well they have done during FHE.

Activity:
Help your children learn to express their appreciation for others using the "thank you" cards. Color the card and have your child give it to someone who made a difference in their lives.

Treat:
finger food that your children are thank-ful for; raisins, crackers, marshmallow, etc. before they eat, they must say "thank you".
